Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 August 2026
Hazy Seed Media Ltd (hazy-seed.com) respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal data we collect when you read our advertorial content, why we collect it, and what rights you have under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
The data controller is Hazy Seed Media Ltd, 27 Kingsland Road, London, E2 8AA, United Kingdom, registered in England and Wales under company number 14820937. You can contact our privacy team at [email protected]. We are not the seller of any product featured on this Site; purchases are made on a third-party merchant's website, which operates its own privacy notice.
2. Data we collect
- Technical data: IP address (truncated for analytics), browser type and version, device type, operating system, screen size, referring URL and approximate city-level location derived from IP.
- Usage data: pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, which buttons or product links you click, and whether you accepted cookies.
- Correspondence data: your name, email address and message if you write to us.
- Campaign data: the advertising campaign, placement or keyword that brought you to the page, where supplied in the link.
We do not knowingly collect special category data, and we do not ask for payment card details at any point. If you enter card details, you are doing so on the merchant's checkout, not on this Site.
3. Lawful bases
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — analytics, advertising and attribution technologies, and any marketing email you opt into.
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — operating and securing the Site, preventing fraudulent traffic, and responding to your enquiries. We balance these interests against your rights and only process what is necessary.
- Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) — retaining records required by advertising, tax and accounting law.
4. How we use your data
We use the data above to display the page correctly, to measure how many readers an advertising campaign reached, to calculate commissions owed to us by merchants, to detect bot or click fraud, to improve the readability of our articles, and to answer questions you send us.
5. Sharing
We share limited data with: our hosting and content delivery provider; analytics providers (Google Analytics 4); advertising platforms that referred you (such as Meta); affiliate networks that record the click that led to a purchase; and professional advisers or authorities where legally required. We never sell your personal data.
6. International transfers
Some providers process data outside the United Kingdom, principally in the European Economic Area and the United States. Where that happens, transfers are covered by UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an equivalent safeguard. A copy of the relevant safeguard is available on request.
7. Retention
- Analytics event data: up to 14 months, then aggregated.
- Server and security logs: 90 days.
- Affiliate attribution records: 24 months, for commission reconciliation.
- Email correspondence: 24 months after the matter is closed.
- Accounting records: 6 years, as required by HMRC.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal. To exercise a right, email [email protected]. We respond within one calendar month. We may ask for information to verify your identity.
If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF, or via ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to resolve the matter first.
9. Security
The Site is served over TLS. Access to analytics and email accounts is restricted to authorised staff, protected by multi-factor authentication and reviewed quarterly. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we notify the ICO and affected individuals where a breach meets the statutory threshold.
10. Children
This Site is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this notice. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site for at least 30 days. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
